A brand that needs no introduction, one that has always been synonymous with all that is good, AMUL, has been registered as a UNICEF approved supplier of Ready to use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) to Sudan & war-torn Afghanistan, after their plant was approved to supply orders up to US $ 2 million (close to INR 12 crores) as of 2017, to begin with.
Setup at it’s Mogar Food Complex, back in 2015, this initiative, popularly known as BAL AMUL, has a clear purpose, “to produce low cost nutritious product to treat malnourished children within and outside the country,” as quoted by Dr. K Rathnam, the Managing Director of Amul Diary to Times of India.
Amul, is said to have already supplied 50 tons RUTF to South Sudan and orders of over 300 tons to Afghanistan. A shining beacon, always working towards the greater good, globally, we are honored to be associated with Amul.
